The school council fundraiser will begin tomorrow, March 30.  Chocolate bars will be distributed  during the day.  For parents picking up the chocolate bars, you may come to the school between 1:00 and 6:00.  If you are picking up chocolate bars please come to the front office.

If you indicated that you would not pick up the chocolate bars then your child will be sent home with them.  Thank you for helping us to raise funds for additional technology in our school.

Each box contains 30 items at $3.00 a piece.  For each box sold $90 should be sent into the school.  We are encouraging you to send the funds in by cheque.

Our school is taking on another environmental initiative to help our bees.  Please save your pop cans and send them to school with your child.  For every 10 pop cans, your child gets a ballot to enter their name in a draw.  Bring Back the Bees!

Winter Parking Woes

posted Feb 15, 2017, 9:11 AM by Deanna Perry

If you are picking up your children by car at the end of the school day, please use the Kiss and Ride.  Our parking lot has become significantly smaller due to snow accumulation and the need to put the snow somewhere.  We are experiencing traffic issues in the parking lot at the end of the day as people double and triple park.  If you make use of the Kiss and Ride area, your children will be brought to your car at the end of the school day and once buses have left the bus area, you will be on your way.  Please help us to keep the parking lot and road area around the school safe at morning drop off and afternoon pick up.

Snow Days

posted Jan 25, 2017, 7:53 AM by Deanna Perry

Thank you to all of our families who call in to let us know that their children will not be at school on a snow day.  Thank you as well for your patience as we respond to phone calls.  At times the voice mailbox gets filled up due to the volume of calls.  On any given snow day we receive upwards of 100 telephone calls usually within a fifteen minute period.  If your call does not get answered immediately or the voice mailbox is full, please call back.  You may also send an email to report your child's absence to the@ocsb.ca.

Please know that the phone calls that we make and your phone call to the school are about ensuring your child's whereabouts are known and he/she is safe.
